As we read the Word of God, we need to develop a biblical theology that only God can give us. “The King In His Beauty: A Biblical Theology of the Old and New Testaments” by Thomas R. Schreiner shows us the true beauty of God while while revealing God’s love. Being enraptured in God”s glory is a theme that is taught from the perspective of God’s kingdom. What Schreiner points out is the Bible is about God’s kingdom and we need to live in it. We need to have a biblical theology that is biblically centered on God and we need to see the beauty of God for us to love Him even more. Start seeing the King in His beauty!!!

The King in His Beauty is a biblical theology of the entire Bible that attempts together the Bible’s entire message under one rubric: the Kingdom of God. Approaching the storyline from the perspective of biblical theology and examining the overarching narrative that is conveyed throughout, Schreiner emphasizes three interrelated themes that standout in the biblical story and undergird the theme of ‘Kingdom of God’.
Included themes are: God as Lord, human beings as made in God’s image, and the location or place in which God’s rule is exercised. Ultimately, Schreiner concludes, the goal of God’s kingdom is for him to lavish his love on us and us to see and understand the king and his beauty and to be enraptured in his glory.
